A family-run business

Holden Grange Care Group has been established for over 25 years and provides 24-hour nursing and residential care for elderly ladies and gentlemen, for both long and short stays. Our Certificate of Registration enables us to care for over 100 adults at three sites, with nursing/residential care and palliative care/terminal illness. We are Gold Standards Framework certified.

The story began in 1984, when Ronald and Doreen Berry purchased Holden Grange, followed by Hillbro and Grange Court (and finally Oak Lodge).

Doreen had qualified as a mental health nurse in the 1950s and worked for much of her career at Linfield Mount. Ronald was a window cleaner and weaver at a local mill. They used their savings to buy Holden Grange, seeing its potential as a care home and fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Holden Grange Care Group has remained a family business, and is now run by Michael Berry and his sons Leon and Jason. They are supported by  a dedicated team of care staff (read more about the managers of each individual home on that home's page.)
