Covid-19 update

Update 31st July 2020

New local restrictions affecting Bradford mean changes to our visiting policy. The full guidance for our area can be found here. The new guidance states: 'You should not visit friends or family in care homes, other than in exceptional circumstances. Care homes should restrict visits to these circumstances.'

With regret, we are having to suspend all visits to all of our homes with immediate effect. We understand that this may cause distress to all of you friends and family that want to see your loved ones, however our hands are tied. Visits in exceptional circumstances will take place and we are still available for virtual visiting via Skype.

We have been told that this guidance will be reviewed weekly and as soon as it is deemed safe to do so we will do our best to to facilitate visits within the guidance.

Update 6th July 2020

In line with guidelines from the government and Public Health England, from the 6th July 2020 we are introducing a new visiting policy for relatives/friends/advocates of people who use our services. The visits are going to be different to how we operated pre Covid-19 pandemic and the new policy is a working policy that may change at any time in line with local and national pressures and the Covid status of the home.

We will be offering visits outside in gazebos. The gazebos will be waterproof however they will have open sides to allow adequate airflow whilst they are in use. There will be a table and a physical divider in the gazebo where you will be on one side and your relative on the other. There will also be a Perspex screen on the table to protect both parties from any droplets that may become airborne from sneezing and coughing. Visits will be limited to 25-minute slots and will be available between 11am and 12pm and 2pm – 4pm daily.
